MCX Gold futures are trading on a weak note today. The benchmark Dec-26 contract is weak by 1.44% at Rs 149312 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 149159-151596 per 10 grams.The counter has improved by 0.74% over last one-week.The open interest in the counter soared by 4.82% to 16911 lots. The metal moved higher by 1.26% in last session.

Silver is down 1.04% at Rs 223411 per kg. The open interest in the counter advanced by 2.79% to 17336 lots. The metal gained 2.04% in last session.

In global equities, US markets are likely to open on a positive note. DOW futures edged up 0.04%. In Europe, FTSE 100 ticked up 0.77% and DAX Performance Index inched higher 0.35%.

MCX Copper futures are down 0.05% at Rs 1426 per kg.
