MCX Copper futures are are firm by 1.39% at Rs 1427 per kg right now. The counter was up 0.07% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures advanced to an intraday high of Rs 1429 per kg today and have seen a sharp increase of 5.71% in the open interest. US equities are edging higher with Dow Jones Industrial Average is moving higher by 0.58% on the day.MCX Copper is extending gains for fourth consecutive session.

In other metals, Zinc is surging 2.01% at Rs 422 per kg, Aluminium is modestly higher by 0.36% at Rs 335 per kg, Lead is slightly higher by 0.23% at Rs 195 per kg while Nickel is modestly higher by 0.22% at Rs 1526 per kg.

Copper has added around 0.41% in the last one week followed by MCX Zinc, down around 0.65%.
