MCX Gold futures are trading on a weak note today. The benchmark Sep-26 contract is weak by 0.86% at Rs 157300 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 155862-160136 per 10 grams.The counter has posted a rise of 1.33% over last one-week.The open interest in the counter plunged by 9.41% to 19805 lots. The metal eased by 1.90% in last session.

Silver is down 0.11% at Rs 240020 per kg. The open interest in the counter tumbled by 15.58% to 10597 lots.

In global equities, US markets are set for a negative start. DOW futures eased 0.22%. In Europe, DAX Performance Index ticked up 0.22% and FTSE 100 moved down 0.45%.
